Troubleshooting Common Product Editor Problems

If something does not work the way you expect, the cause is usually one of a few common issues: the section is not editable, the image source is weak, the text does not fit, or the product has a special layout rule.

Common problems and fixes

My text does not fit: Shorten the wording, adjust the size, or review the spacing controls.
My image does not look right: Replace it with a better source file or recrop it.
I cannot edit this area: The product may treat that section as fixed artwork.
I see a missing-image warning: Return to the design and place an image in every required image area.
The layout no longer looks right: Use Undo, Back To Original, or a saved version if needed.

When product-specific rules apply

Some foil products have fixed foil areas.
Some die cut products have special windows or protected areas.
Some products include view-only sections that cannot be personalized.

Helpful tip

If a message appears on screen explaining why a section cannot be edited, follow that instruction first. It usually reflects a real product limitation rather than a temporary error.
